Terms of Use
Barecopy is a browser-based tool for inspecting and removing metadata from documents and images.
Your responsibility
Always review cleaned files before sharing them. Barecopy removes metadata fields as described on the main page; it does not remove document content such as tracked changes, comments, or visible text (it warns where it detects them). You are responsible for verifying that a file is safe to share for your specific purpose.
No warranty
The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from its use, including disclosure of information that remained in a file.
Pro subscription
An active Pro subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Pro features — there is no license key; access is tied to your subscription, confirmed by our payment provider (Polar). When the subscription ends, Pro features pause; your files and free features are unaffected. Billing, cancellation and refunds are handled by Polar as merchant of record; if something doesn't work, get in touch and we'll fix it or refund you.
Acceptable use
Don't use Barecopy to violate the law, including tampering with documents where metadata integrity is legally required.
